AWANA Children's Ministry

NEW to Saanich Peninsula for the 2020 - 2021 year! Hosted by Peninsula Mission Community Church

     AWANA is an international children's ministry active in over 120 countries around the world.  This ministry reaches 4,530,884 children worldwide, and through 523 partner churches in Canada, 34,518 children are reached nationally.

     One of AWANA's core aims is to reach kids with the gospel of Jesus Christ and engage them in long term discipleship.  The main elements of the program include scripture memorization, biblical teaching, music, and games.

PROGRAM DETAILS: (Please note the previously scheduled opening night has been changed.  More details to be announced.

What?  We will be offering the Sparks (Ages 5 - 7) and Truth & Training (T&T for ages 8 - 11) programs.  

Where?  The PMCC AWANA program will be using the church facility at 9300 Willingdon Road (Resthaven Seventh Day Adventist Church) under the sponsorship of Peninsula Mission Community Church (PMCC).

When?  The program runs from 6:00 - 8:00 PM on Mondays starting on (TBA) and will run for 27 weeks.  The last club day for the 2020 - 2021 year will probably be (TBA).

Costs?  Annual dues for each child is $85.00.  In addition to the annual dues, Sparks must purchase a handbook ($13.75) and vest ($23.00).  T&T must purchase a handbook ($16.50) and a jersey ($26.00). 

Numbers?  We will be keeping club numbers small this year, allowing a maximum of 30 children to be registered in the club.   If you are interested in registering your child or children in the club, please email your intention to [email protected]  After we have reached the maximum 30 registered children, new applicants will be placed on a waiting list.  We expect that the club will fill up fast, so don't delay in letting us know if you are interested.  We will send you a registration form to complete and send back to us.  Your payment of annual dues will secure your registration for this coming club year.

Addressing COVID-19 and General Sickness Concerns:  We are taking the COVID-19 Virus situation seriously and are committed to having in place policies to minimize the risk of spreading the virus.  Some of these will include:

*  Trained staff dedicated to sanitizing club areas;

*  Hand sanitizing stations;

*  Masks available for Clubber and volunteer use (not mandatory, only for use if desired)
